ข้างบ้าน (Khang Barn) คือโปรเจกต์เพลง Social Satire ภายใต้ Bor Mee Jai ที่หยิบเรื่องใกล้ตัว พฤติกรรมบนโซเชียล วัฒนธรรมอินเทอร์เน็ต ข่าวลือ กระแสสังคม และความวุ่นวายในชีวิตประจำวัน มาเล่าผ่านเพลงป๊อปร่วมสมัยที่สนุก กวน และฟังง่าย

ชื่อ “ข้างบ้าน” มาจากภาพของคนที่ดูเหมือนไม่ได้เกี่ยวอะไรกับเรื่องนั้น แต่กลับรู้ทุกอย่างก่อนเจ้าของเรื่องเสียอีก เป็นมุมมองที่ใช้มองสังคมด้วยอารมณ์ขัน มากกว่าการพยายามตัดสินว่าใครถูกหรือผิด

เพลงของ Khang Barn ไม่ได้มีเนื้อเรื่องต่อเนื่องแบบ Story Universe แต่ละเพลงเป็นเรื่องของตัวเอง และสามารถหยิบเหตุการณ์หรือพฤติกรรมที่คนพบเจออยู่ทุกวันมาขยายให้เกินจริงเล็กน้อย จนกลายเป็นมุกที่ทั้งขำและคุ้นอย่างประหลาด

ตั้งแต่คนที่รู้ข่าวทั้งซอยก่อนทุกคน การแคปหน้าจอที่เร็วกว่าการลบโพสต์ การขุดเรื่องเมื่อหลายปีก่อน ไปจนถึงการโทษเกมทุกครั้งที่มีอะไรผิดปกติ — Khang Barn สนใจช่วงเวลาที่ความจริงจังของสังคมเริ่มตลกได้ด้วยตัวมันเอง

ดนตรีของ Khang Barn ไม่ถูกจำกัดอยู่กับแนวใดแนวหนึ่ง แต่มีพื้นฐานเป็น Contemporary Pop ที่สามารถผสม Isan Pop, Electronic, Funk, Dance, Hip-Hop หรือแนวดนตรีอื่นตามบุคลิกของแต่ละเพลง โดยภาษาอีสานและภาษาไทยถูกใช้ในฐานะภาษาร่วมสมัย ไม่ใช่เครื่องหมายของดนตรีแบบดั้งเดิม

เป้าหมายของ Khang Barn ไม่ใช่การเทศนา แต่คือการชวนคนฟังหัวเราะกับสิ่งที่เราอาจเคยทำ เคยเห็น หรือเคยอยู่ในเหตุการณ์เดียวกันมาก่อน

เพราะบางครั้งเรื่องที่เกิดขึ้นไกลที่สุด ก็ยังไปถึง ข้างบ้าน ก่อนเราเสมอ

กระบวนการสร้างสรรค์

แนวคิด เนื้อหา เนื้อร้อง โครงสร้างเพลง มุก และทิศทางทางดนตรี ถูกสร้างและกำกับโดยผู้สร้างโปรเจกต์

Generative AI ถูกใช้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกระบวนการผลิต รวมถึงเสียงร้องและองค์ประกอบทางดนตรีบางส่วน โดย Khang Barn ไม่ได้นำเสนอเสียงที่สร้างโดย AI ว่าเป็นนักร้องมนุษย์จริง

Khang Barn is a social-satire music project under Bor Mee Jai, turning everyday behavior, internet culture, gossip, social trends, and the strange little dramas of modern life into playful contemporary pop songs.

The name Khang Barn literally means “next door.” It comes from the familiar idea of someone who somehow knows everything happening around the neighborhood — sometimes before the people actually involved.

That point of view defines the project.

Rather than telling one continuous story, every Khang Barn song stands on its own. Each track takes a recognizable behavior or social situation and pushes it just far enough to reveal the comedy already hiding inside it.

A neighbor who knows the whole street’s business. A screenshot taken before a post can disappear. People digging through years of old posts. A video game somehow getting blamed for everything.

Khang Barn looks at these moments with humor rather than trying to lecture the listener or decide who is right and wrong.

Musically, Khang Barn is not tied to a single genre. Its foundation is contemporary pop, with room for Isan pop, electronic, funk, dance, hip-hop, and other styles depending on the personality of each song. Isan and Thai are treated as living contemporary languages rather than signals that the music must belong to a traditional genre.

The goal is simple: make people laugh at things they recognize — including things they may have done themselves.

Because somehow, whatever happens...

the people next door already know.

Creative Process

The concepts, lyrics, song structures, jokes, and musical direction are created and guided by the project creator.

Generative AI is used as part of the production process, including vocal performances and selected musical elements. Khang Barn does not present AI-generated voices as real human singers.

AI is used as a production tool to realize music that is conceived, written, and creatively directed by the creator.
